Oxford University Press is currently developing a new atlas series for Australian schools. As a department of the University, we place great importance on developing teaching and learning resources that draw on current research, the expectations of teachers and the needs of students. To do this we believe that it is important to seek the input and reflections of Australian teachers and, in particular, teachers of Geography.

GETTING INVOLVED

Oxford has undertaken a summary of recent research into students and map and cartographic literacy and distributed these findings to all Australian secondary schools. This research document is accompanied by a survey that will help us craft a new education atlas. The research report and survey, due by 30 April 2008, can be downloaded from the links below.
